A lesson in Loving the Haters: my First Animated GIF Experience!

Today I created my FIRST ever animated GIF. You can see it above ^. I've been taking a bunch of graphic design classes lately to help with my multimedia business, and got inspired to start adding little encouraging videos and short GIFs to my websites and social media pages for Femmespire Media. Loaded it onto a GIF sharing website cuz I could NOT figure out how to share my designs from Photoshop after exporting. Anyway, finally got it to work and was feeling excited and productive and I get a notification I already received a comment on my image.
I had only had the thing up maybe 20 minutes, so I was kind of excited by the quick response. All I want to do is encourage and empower people through the arts and media. I want to tell people all the things I was never told growing up but desperately longed to hear. I want to be the woman I always wished I knew and create the kinds of artistic work I wished I found when I was a kid.
So I assumed this person's comment was gonna be something nice, validating the Call I feel from God to help people. Thus, confirming that I am on the right path.
But do you know what this dude said? Their comment was an animated GIF of an image from Parks and Rec, with the text line "The Wooooorst" underneath! In the words of Stephanie Tanner from "Full House"- how rude! That's social media for you- everyone has an opinion.
I won't lie, it hurt me. Especially since I know my heart is to encourage people, so it's ironic that the first comment I'd get would be so DIScouraging. But it's not going to stop me. I'm gonna keep doing me and trying to create new media, music, and writings with positive messages. Haters are gonna hate, but this is just proof that the world needs  more people who are determined to keep loving on them anyway.
